A HOMICIDE case went cold as a young husband and wife were found dead.
Not only were Tina Linn and Harold Dean Clouse Jr.’s murders unsolved, but their daughter Holly Marie went missing as well.
Who are Baby Holly’s’ late parents?
Holly Marie Clouse’s biological parents were Harold Dean Clouse Jr. and Tina Linn.
Born on June 7, 1959, Dean was originally from Kentucky.
Later in his formative years, his family relocated to New Smyrna Beach, Florida; where he met Tina.
Born on September 21, 1963, Tina was originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dean met Tina when they were 19 and 15; his sister was dating her brother.
On June 25, 1979, Dean and Tina tied the knot at the Volusia County Courthouse.
On January 24, 1980, the young couple welcomed their only daughter Holly Marie.
During the summer of that same year, the family of three moved from New Smyrna Beach to Lewisville, Texas.
At the time, they relocated to the area so Dean could find more work in the construction field as a cabinet maker.
Also between the time they moved and their last few months living in Florida, both the couple’s families and the police suspect the two got involved with the Christ’s Family cult.
What happened to Holly Clouse’s parents?
On January 12, 1981, 17-year-old Tina and 21-year-old Dean’s corpses were discovered in Houston, Texas.
After recovering their remains from a wooded area, police concluded the couple was beaten and strangled to death.
Baby Holly was missing from the crime scene and her disappearance went unsolved for 41 years.
Regarding the tragedy, Dean’s mother Donna Casasanta told Fox 10: “It was a nightmare.
“It was something that was on our mind constantly and I’m wondering what happened to her [Holly].
“Every time the phone rang, I think, maybe this, that…you don’t want them to be dead, mind you.
“But yet, you want to lay it to rest…you want to find out what happened.”
Although Baby Holly was eventually found alive, Dean and Tina’s homicides remain unsolved.
When was Holly found?
On June 7, 2022, a breakthrough was made when it was announced that Baby Holly was alive and well.
The formerly missing child now goes by her married name Holly Miller.
She resides with her husband and five children in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Police also learned that after Dean and Tina’s homicides, members of a nomadic religious cult, believed to be Christ’s Family, left Holly Marie at a church in Arizona.
Then, the church cared for the baby as they helped find a family to adopt her.
Eventually, Baby Holly was adopted by a pastor and his wife; they raised her in Yuma, Arizona.
Holly Marie Miller’s case is chronicled in an episode of ABC’s 20/20 titled Baby Holly Found.
“I didn’t know that I was missing,” she told show anchor David Muir.
“I had a family out there that wanted to get to know me and had been searching for me all this time. I couldn’t believe it. Are you serious?”
